Cindy Ricalde

Cindy Ricalde is an accomplished dancer, singer, actress, choreographer, and master teacher. She trained at the National Academy of the Arts, was on full scholarship at Joffrey Ballet School, and attended US International University where she was also a faculty member. She was invited by William Carter of American Ballet Theatre to dance in his national touring company when she was 17. She has danced in many ballet companies as a principal dancer and a guest artist. She continues to remain close with mentor and friend Marat Dakayev of the Kirov Ballet. Cindy has been in national commercials for Kodak, Honda, Nestle Water, Milk, Tequila Commerativo, and Bacardi Rum. She can be seen on Disney’s Freaky Friday, an episode of Diagnosis Murder alongside Dick Van Dyke, the MTV Movie Awards with Robbie Williams choreographed by Toni Basil, a stage show choreographed by Paula Abdul, and she as assistant choreographer to Travis Payne while dancing in the music video for Mandy Moore’s song from Center Stage. Cindy headlined as Velma Kelly in the Mexico City production of Chicago and she performed at the Hollywood Bowl in Mass choreographed by Kay Cole with music by Leonard Bernstein and Stephen Schwartz. Cindy was dance captain for Disney’s national tour Symphonic Fantasy which performed at the MET in New York City. She trained and coached Julia Stiles for the film Save the Last Dance and she was a guest teacher for the dancers in Celine Dion’s Las Vegas show A New Day. Cindy’s most recent choreography is featured in the Maypole scene in Disney’s Saving Mr. Banks.
